Family Day Out

Come to Botley for a family day out with a difference, with lots of opportunity for fun and discovery.

Start your day by parking in one of the village car parks and head to Botley Quay, along Church Lane: a peaceful area perfect for a picnic where children have the space to run about and see what is going on on this tributary to the River Hamble. From Botley Quay, continue along Church Lane to Manor Farm where you can enter the country park, stopping to feed the ducks at the pond. Children will love Manor Farm – a Victorian working farm where they can see farm animals and meet some of the characters who help to run the farm (admission prices apply) After visiting the farm, stop for refreshments at The Pantry at Manor for some tea and cake.  (Please note: Church Lane is approx 1 mile and is a country lane with no pavements).  You can either retrace your steps or continue back along Brook Lane where shortly after meeting the main road you will find the 'Green Flag' status High Street Recreation ground with childrens play area, walks through the trees, and even more spaces to run around.
