Botley Mini Bus

We now have our new Botley Mini Bus, funded by the Department for Transport for use within our Community.

Available for hire to non-profit-making groups or organisations, we welcome hiring enquiries from outside groups.

Hirers must provide their own driver aged between 25 – 69 (70 – 74 if they have a D1 licence) in good health and with no more than 3 points on their licence.

We provide a short induction and driving session  for first time users. This ensures that we, and they, are happy about their competence to handle the bus safely.

Please allow a minimum of one weeks notice for this process.

Midas trained drivers welcomed but not compulsory.

Restrictions: User groups must be non-profit-making, we can include family groups or social groups associated with profit making organisations (eg. parents groups from private schools or sports clubs from commercial companies).

NOTE: The bus cannot be used to make a profit for the hirer.

Special needs catered for: Low folding step for easier access and one wheelchair facility is offered at the moment.

Charges: 70p per mile plus diesel. Lower rates for longer journeys and for groups of young, elderly or people with disabilities.

 

Times: Booking according to availability- not usually available Thursday daytime.
