Botley in Bloom - Presentation Evening
Here are last year's Winners/Runners up at our Presentation Evening for our Summer Gardening Competition 2023, with the Mayor of Eastleigh, Nick Couldrey, presenting the Awards, in October at the Masonic Centre, Brook Lane.
Looking to our Summer Gardening Competition 2024 - have you noticed the Botley in Bloom hand made plaques around our Village? These are awarded to winning entries in our Competition (see photo above).
Entrants to this community group led Competition are amateur, but enthusiastic gardeners. There are several categories to be entered: e.g. Whole Gardens, front or back, Containers, Vegetable plots etc, so there are many opportunities to join in.
Naturally, there is a small group of volunteers who give their time to organise the Competition, with lots of enthusiasm.
Many hands make light work and more support is needed to sustain this event.
Would YOU like to contribute to this event by being part of the team? We all have a skill to offer and we need your skill. We don't meet up often (i.e. not a big time commitment). We do love to chat and develop ideas. We do some paperwork and are computer literate. We do encourage friends and neighbours to enter the Competition.
Botley is a blooming Village and, with your assistance, we can keep it blooming. We hope to hear from you! No matter how little you think you are able to commit your support would be most welcome.
